Description
Exuberance. A rug by Kuba Sowiński, lushness, or the fight for survival. The primacy of vegetation over hostile reality. A constant fight. How to survive in an oppressive world? A metaphor for our daily struggles. Existing despite circumstances. Kuba's designs bring to mind raw forms of brutalist architecture. Brutalist, i.e. raw, without ornaments and embellishments. And yet beautiful. When the design is harmonious and modest, nothing else is needed. Le Corbisier's designs come to mind, for example Notre Dame du Haut or the wonderful bank design in Georgia by George Chakhavi and Zurab Jalaghania. Just look.
